Nominations for the 59th Annual Emmy Awards were announced this morning, and along with a few surprises (Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin both nominated for 30 Rock; Tony Shalhoub getting yet another nod (undeserved, IMO) for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy) there comes word that:

1. Mariska Hargitay was nominated again for Outstanding Actress in a Drama

2. Meloni is no where to be seen on the list, not exactly a surprise, because this season was awful

3. Two SVU nominations for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama: Leslie Caron as Lorraine Chalmers in "Recall" and Marcia Gay Harden as Star Morrison in "Informed."

This season of SVU was weak at best, but I guess Hargitay's people chose her two episodes well.

You do realize that along with the Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert also lends his voice to one of the greatest animated series ever, Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, right? He's Phil Ken Sebben -- ha HA! -- and Reducto ("I'll make you fun size!").

Not a big fan of most of his shows, but he did executive produce Wanted, so, *Rhyme applauds his tribute*
