Battlestar Galactica to return in, argh, October
Ugh. SciFi has announced that Battlestar Galactica won't be returning in July like Stargate: SG-1 or Atlantis. We're going to have to wait until October for Season 3. Gah. But they did order a full 20 episodes.

Might seem even longer by the time we've seen whatever cliffhanger they're cooking up for Friday night (or Saturday for us transatlantic folks).
And OT, but while you're here, computer guru: I haven't done my research yet, but do you know of any good freeware utilities for the Mac that will allow me to make clips from DVDs? I'm on Jaguar, and I already have Mac the Ripper, and Quicktime that's up to date with the DivX and Xvid codecs, but I haven't figured out how to pull stuff from DVDs and make .avi files.
