When Katrina hit three years ago my aunt and uncle lived near Gulfport, Mississippi, which got hit really bad. They didn't lose the house thank goodness, but they had damage. My three near-adult cousins, on the other hand, lost cars, apartments, and one had a boyfriend who lost his business. The youngest was still in high school, and they actually lost their high school. Since then everyone has left Mississippi. My aunt and uncle *just* sold their house and moved to Tennessee only a few weeks ago. Granted, it was for my uncle's job that they had to move, but they and all the cousins have left.

My girl badtyler is in New Orleans right now, and is stuck and has to weather out the storm. It's supposed to make landfall tomorrow.

I hope she's okay!
