I know, I know, it's a "legitimate psychological condition," but still

mood: bored
*giggle* I can't help it. It's just..so...*giggle* it's so Hollywood. I wonder what Téa is thinking right now. I feel worse for her.

Here's another interesting article about Duchovny, and this touches on what I remember, which is when he mentioned seeking help a long time ago when the show was still airing.

One would imagine that this could be the perfect time to publicize such an, um, addiction *giggle*, since Californication begins again September 28. Duchovny's face is also plastered all over the 42nd Street subway connection, and what bothers me is that there's a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. It's just so blatant that it bugs me.

Anyway, here's hoping he works through *giggle* that addiction and he gets better soon.

I feel so badly for Tea and the kids. Guys have been catting around since the beginning of time. I'm not even convinced it's a real psychological condition. Someone with a Psychology degree is going to have to convince me.

lmfao. I think you've summed up how I'm feeling quite nicely. I mean, sure it's a real 'condition', I suppose, but you just HAVE to giggle at it. As the guy on the radio this morning said "isn't every man addicted to sex?"
I love how cynical my friends list is that no one is really taking this very seriously. :D

It's not a recognised condition by everyone and there is some debate about calling it an 'addiction' rather than a behaviour. According to this article - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/7371171.stm - it's possibly driven by low self-esteem and shame, in which case DD has got some hard therapy ahead of him if he really wants to change.

I know, I feel badly for her, because it probably means he keeps cheating. Hopefully, it only means he keeps being tempted, but doesn't.

By the way, my hubs, the therapist, doesn't believe it's a real psychological problem, he thinks it's just a cop-out for men who cheat.

Myself, I don't know what to believe.

Yeah, I think it's a perfect excuse for men who cheat. Unfortunately for Tea, it's in the public eye. And Madelaine, his daughter, is at an age where she can understand what's going on.
