Torchwood - Jack blue

Torchwood stuff, episode 2

(No spoilers here, but spoilers in the comments)

I downloaded and watched the second episode ("Sleeper") of Torchwood last night, and I was blown away by how good it was. It was tense, scary at times, violent at others, and the guest actress, Nikki Amuka Bird, was amazing.

It was one of those characters that even though you know it's a guest role, it stays with you. The best example of a character like that is Peter Boyle's Clyde Bruckman from The X-Files episode "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose."

And one more thing...I need to make Ianto icons. My love knows no bounds.

I really loved "Sleeper" too.
Season 1 of Torchwood was mostly bad, but still entertaining. I only watched for John Barrowman anyway. I would've watched it no matter how bad it was because he's THAT hot! :p
But season 2 has been great so far. I loved the first ep. It was a lot of fun, and I loved the second ep even more.

The guest actress did a wonderful job. The scene at the hospital, when she was saying goodbye to her husband, was heartbreaking.
Jack was a complete asshole in the episode though lol.
I'm really excited about tonight's ep.

*minor spoiler*

Tonight's ep has the Jack/Ianto kiss in the Season 2 trailer :D
Oh yeah, when she was saying goodbye to him and he was like, "Whatever you did, I don't care, because I love you. Don't leave me." I might have been sniffling a bit there, which surprised me. I don't even get a tear over characters that I've been watching for years, and here this actress really impressed me.

SQUEE! I'll probably have to wait until tomorrow to download episode 3 (or whenever my Friend gets to uploading it), but I'm patient.

I agree with you on certain episodes of Season 1. It's not stellar quality, but there are a few episodes I enjoyed. I like the one where Tosh fell in love with the alien; I liked the one with the evil fairies that stole the little girl; and of course I loved the time-travel ep with the real Captain Jack. The others I could give or take.
http://www.mininova.org/ usually has the ep less than an hour after it finishes airing in the U.K.
The show airs at 12 a.m. my time. And the torrent is usually available at 1:20 - 1:30 a.m.
I've never used a torrent. One of my Flist uploads the episode to SendSpace and I get it that way. It's fantastic quality, in HD, and I don't have to deal with all the rules and stuff of the torrent sites.
Rules? You must've tried a weird torrent site lol. But if you're patient, then it doesn't matter.
I don't have any patience. I force myself to stay up until I start downloading, then I go to sleep, and watch it as soon as I wake up.

I know, I'm sad lol.

It must just be because I'm a newcomer (the very first ep of SGA I watched a year before I actually started watching, I hated--though more because I was like, this isn't believeable than the acting). I thought the writing was very good on this ep, but it didn't play well for me. I pretty much hated the lead actress.
I dunno, I thought she pulled off the fear and confusion really well, along with the distress of having to leave her husband and discovering what she really was. I thought the final scene was really emotional gripping.

I know everyone on my Flist loves SGA, but I can't stand the writing or the acting. I'm not a fan, even though I've tried to watch it numerous times.

Haha, that may very well be how I end up with TW. Everyone seems to love it but me. And for me, it's really the acting. But, I've only seen two eps, so I'm still willing to give it a few more tries (though I read the plot synopsis for 2.4 and went WTF? lol).
Think I'll try and download this tonight when I get home...
